Compare
Papped vs the alternatives.
Every app here is no-app and QR-first for guests. The difference is what happens next: an upload of old camera rolls, a camera that develops later, or a limited, screened roll per guest that lands in your own Drive. See how Papped stacks up, with the facts pulled from each provider's own site, and the catch with each one.
What each app offers changes over time. This reflects each provider's own site as of September 2026; check theirs for the latest.
Questions
- What is the difference between an upload app and a disposable camera app?
- An upload app (Guestpix, GuestCam, WedUploader, Kululu) asks guests to send photos they already took, so the gallery is whatever was on their phones. A disposable camera app (Papped, POV) opens a camera with a set number of shots, so guests take photos for the event. Papped also lets a guest spend a shot on a photo from their gallery, so nothing good is lost.
- Which guest photo apps work without an app download?
- All six compared here open from a QR code with no account for guests. Guestpix, GuestCam, WedUploader, Kululu and Papped are web pages on every phone. POV uses an App Clip on iPhones and a web page on Android.
- Which apps send photos to my own Google Drive?
- WedUploader and Papped. Both put the original files in your Google Drive. Papped can only see the files it creates in its own folder, screens every photo before it gets there, and keeps nothing itself apart from a flagged photo held encrypted for at most 48 hours. Guestpix, GuestCam and Kululu host the gallery on their own platform and you download from there; POV's site does not say.
- Which one is free?
- Kululu and POV both have free plans with limits, Kululu by photo count and POV up to 10 guests. Papped is free for events up to five guests, with the same roll, screening and Drive delivery as a paid event. For bigger events every app here charges, and the pricing pages change often enough that you should check each one.
